Our new products are rolling in slowly but steadily and we can feel the new life being pumped into our By The Change inventory. There is nothing like opening those big beat-up boxes to find beautiful new designs by our favorite artisans. This shipment of new inventory is especially exciting because 1. thanks to you this is our largest order to date and 2. we personally met the people who made these products which takes it to a whole other level of joy in seeing their handiwork. Our new Jaya bag, named after the designer herself, is a gorgeous patchwork bucket bag made from recycled sari scraps. Our Loki bag is a crescent shaped bag modeled after a sample bag we took with us. Loki, the lead seamstress at Connexions had our sample disassembled and a pattern made from it in no time flat. These bags are just two items in our new product launch scheduled for reveal on April 15. From Connexions we also have sari coin purses, journals with recycled paper, and a fresh supply of sari throws.
From Cambodia we have the highly anticipated reclaimed bombshell brass jewelry. Kari shared their profound story in a previous blog post found here on how a painful past is being transformed into beautiful new beginnings. Also new to our spring line are recycled wallets - per your request! There are three new designs to choose from.
These are just a fraction of the new offerings we will have starting April 15. Set your calendars to visit www.buythechangeusa.org on April 15 to see the full line! This is also a great time to book a spring or summer trunk show and share these new products with your friends. By spreading the word and sharing our story you are directly changing the life of a woman in the developing world. It's a wonderful world where getting together with your girlfriends and having a shopping night in your own living room can transform the world and support women half way around the world.
